Because of the e SATA-connection possibilities, transfer rates of 90 MB/s (read) & 50 MB/s (write) are achieved. This is an enormous enhancement as compared to the conventional hard disks. The new design without the mechanical components makes for an enormous progress in the field of failure rate & noise development.
The SSD´ s are tough: even shocks, vibrations & external temperatures do not represent any danger.
