Display unit with touch-panel input. Thanks to the ease of programming via the RS 232C serial interface, this user device can be deployed in many systems at great speed. With its fast and variable reprogramming options, it is also suited to small production runs and demonstration purposes. As well as complete graphics functions, there are up to 5 different fonts available for the display output, each of which can be zoomed from 2 mm to approx. 80 mm, and rotated through 90° steps. All texts can be placed to the nearest pixel(!) Various graphics functions, such as box drawing, line placement, histogram insertion, flash attributes, clipboards, drop-down menus, etc. can be used to prepare the visual output. The integrated 64 KB EEPROM memory can hold up to 256 full images and
icons (e.g. corporate logos) and up to 1024 macros.
The resistive (pressure sensitive) touch panels are the most elegant and space-saving solution to the keyboard problem. The button sizes and location can be modified while the device is running. The screen is scratchproof, with an anti-reflective coating. The fields are freely definable, allowing each button to be assigned a different function depending on the screen content. Unused buttons are hidden ensuring there can be no duplication of button settings. The user device has 5 - 8 digital inputs and 5 - 8 digital outputs to solve simple control tasks. The illumination can be switched off by a command.
