This wireless N Parallel-Band router is the ideal solution or home or in the home office. The DIR-825 supports the fast 802.11n standard & achieves wireless transfer rates of up to 300 MBit/s. Four Gigabit LAN-ports ensure a fast data transfer even with cable connection.
Thanks to Parallel-Band technology the simultaneous transfer of radio signals is enabled in the 2.4 GHz- & 5 GHz frequency range. Use the 2.4 G Hz-band for downloads, in order to retrieve e-mails or to surf in the Internet & stream at the same time high-definition videos without interruptions via the 5 GHz-b&. Fast 300 MBit/s is available to you on both the frequencies.
In addition, a guest access can be setup for each frequency b&, which can be isolated from the actual network. In this way it is possible to provide a wireless access to the Internet to the visitors, but not to the sensitive data in the network.
By means of the accompanying D-Link Shareport software it is possible to link & jointly use USB (Universal Serial Bus)-devices like printers, multi-functional devices or external hard disks. Upon connecting a multi-functional device the extended functions (e.g. the scanning & storing of images in the network) can also be used. In addition, the USB (Universal Serial Bus)-port can also be used for configuring the WLANs through Windows Connect Now (WCN).
