Advantage 40 Spot On for Small Cats, Small Dogs & Pet Rabbits Advantage 40 Spot On for Small Cats, Small Dogs & Pet Rabbits is fast acting & can be used for both the prevention & treatment of fleas in cats, dogs & rabbits. The active ingredient imidacloprid immobilises & subsequently kills fleas, stopping biting fleas in just three to five minutes & starting to kill adult fleas within an hour. It also kills flea larvae within 20 minutes of contact, both on your pet & in your home, wherever your pet goes. As Advantage Spot On kills adult fleas before they lay eggs, their lifecycle is broken at multiple stages. Advantage Spot On kills fleas within one day of treating your pet, & each treatment prevents further flea infestation for up to four weeks on dogs, three to four weeks on cats & up to one week on pet rabbits. It can also be used as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis in cats & dogs & treats biting lice in dogs. Treatment with Advantage Spot On should be repeated after 4 weeks. For dogs being treated for biting lice, it is recommended that you take your dog for a veterinary examination after 30 days as some dogs may require a second treatment. Advantage 40 Spot On for Small Cats, Small Dogs & Pet Rabbits is designed for cats, dogs & pet rabbits weighing less than 4kg, but should not be used on rabbits under 10 weeks of age or kittens/puppies that are unweaned and/or less than 8 weeks of age. Treatment of nursing bitches & queens controls flea infestation on both the dam & offspring. Re-infestation from emergence of new fleas in the environment may continue to occur for six weeks or longer after treatment is initiated, therefore more than one treatment may be required, depending on the level of fleas in the environment. To help reduce this problem, use of a household flea spray and/or flea fogger is recommended, as well as the treatment of all household pets using the appropriate product for that animal. Directions Remove one pipette from the package. Hold pipette in an upright position, twist & pull off cap. Use reversed cap to twist & remove seal from pipette. To treat cats & rabbits: Part the hair on the pet's neck at the base of the skull until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin & squeeze firmly several times to empty the contents directly onto the skin. To treat dogs: With the dog in the standing position, part the coat between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin & squeeze firmly several times to empty the contents directly onto the skin. Cautions Do not allow recently treated animals to groom each other. The product is bitter tasting & salivation may occasionally occur if the animal licks the application site immediately after treatment. This is not a sign of intoxication & disappears after a short time without treatment. This product is for topical use & should not be administered orally. Do not use on rabbits intended for human consumption. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients contained in this product. Care should be taken to avoid the contents of the tube coming into contact with the eyes or mouth of the user or recipient animal.
