The Octo 150 is a unique large soft box, which offers several non-traditional soft box features that will be of particular interest to portrait photographers. Unlike the other large octagonal soft boxes, the Octo 150 features a perfectly round front diffuser for perfectly round catch lights, which are cleaner & more pleasing than its multi-sided counterparts. Another difference is how the light unit is mounted within the unit, which in the case of the Octo 150 is facing the rear cloth, or away from the subject. This offers two distinct advantages over traditional soft boxes. The first advantage is that the Octo 150 does not have the extra levels or layers of diffusion fabric between the light source & the front diffusion fabric, making it an unusually efficient soft box that can be used with a relatively small flash. The other significant advantage of this design is the evenness of illumination on the front cloth. Interior silvered & white surfaces have been designed to ensure the optimum evenness on the front cloth. & because the front cloth is so even, it can be used close to the subject to produce maximum softness as well as maximum light output. ...

Just like its bigger counterpart the Bowens Octo 90 is a large octagonal softbox designed to create a perfectly round pool of beautiful soft, diffused light. The 90cm (3’) diameter of the Octo 90 makes it absolutely ideal for smaller studios who need a big beauty light but don’t have room for large parabolic reflectors. Thanks to the easy to assemble zip-up design of the softbox & its small disassembled size, the Octo 90 is also perfect for location work The unique round diffuser creates aesthetically pleasing catchlights making this the perfect beauty softbox & the softness & evenness of the light means the Octo 90 can be used from large lighting setups to close in to the subject with no loss in the quality of light. Because the flash unit is mounted facing the rear of the softbox there is no hot-spot on the front diffuser
- the light is bounced from the rear of the Octo 90 to create a remarkably soft & even light. To assist with creating perfect skin tones in beauty work & portraiture, the Octo 90 comes supplied with two removeable inner tone reflectors, one gold & the other silver & gold
- use in conjunction with the large silver interior of the softbox for amazing skin tones. To assemble the Octo 90, insert the support rods into the adaptor ring, then zip-up the side panels & secure in place with the fastening tabs
- fast & simple. Height 90cm Width 90cm Depth 75cm Weight 4.7kg
