A beautifully marked piece of sycamore measuring 210mm x 75mm {8 1/4 ins x 3 ins} with a violetheart collar. I more often than not colour or texture sycamore but this piece just had to be sanded, sealed & waxed then buffed up to a lovely finish. The violetheart collar offers a nice contrast to the creamy colour of the sycamore & compliments the piece quite nicely. As with all my work the piece is signed & dated using English & Runic lettering. ...

The Timber-lit is another unique design in our series of illuminated sculptures. Handmade from one solid piece of wood with embedded light-emitting rings, this is both a fantastic light feature as well as an original artwork. No two Timber-lits are exactly the same due to the individual characteristics of the solid sections of wood they are made from & the nature of the making process as every effort is taken to highlight & accentuate the natural beauty in the grain. The colour & brightness of light a Timber-lit emits can be altered via an easy to use remote control. Once a favorite colour has been mixed, it can be saved for recalling when needed. As well as being a static light, the Timber-lit has three automatic colour modes. It can morph through a spectrum of colours & at an alterable speed to suit the mood. The LED lights used are energy efficient with an incredibly long life of 50000 hours or around 6 years of continual use. This sculpture is intended for indoor use & is not water or weather resistant.
