Ride Kink Snowboard 152 - 2013
The eponymous Kink in this tale is not the leather, lycra or rubber wearing fetishist tucked away in the trunk, rather it’s the slayer of jibs and jumps of any description but especially those rails with angles, or Kinks. The Kink features Ride’s Twin Rocker profile, a combination of a predominantly flat base with a little extra rise in the nose and tail to provide stable, catch free riding whatever features you are looking to dominate while urethane Slimewalls absorb some of the chatter on the run-ins and impact from your landings. The Kink is a snowboard that is built to be abused, it likes nothing better than hiking the park hitting the same feature time and time again until you get your trick down and then is ready to do it all again when you are inspired to try something new again. The domain of park rats old and new the Kink will see you progress from grom all the way to the big time, if you put the hours in!

Ride Kink Snowboard 153 Wide - 2012
The Ride Kink snowboard is named after kinked rails, not some posh dude in leather with an orange in his mouth, at least that's what we're told. Ride has developed the Kink to be an affordable park destroyer; it has all the features to get you airborne and back down safely without any extraneous flannel. The Kink has Ride's ProRize shape, which is predominantly flat with a rocker section just before the tip and tail, making it easier to spin and stable in the landings, add to the mix Slimewalls 85A to smooth out any sketchy pisting and you are left with a board that belies its price tag. The Kink has been put on the snow for freestylers of all levels who want a board that is going to take the punishment lap after lap, day after day.

Ride Machete GT Snowboard 160 - 2013
Ride has revamped much of their line for 2013 and the Machete GT is one of the new flagships of the fleet, we’re not sure what the GT stands for, it’s certainly not Grand Tourer as in the motor industry, maybe Gnarly Tendencies?! Not content with producing an all new deck Ride have developed a new shape to go with it, Hybrid Lowrise features micro camber between the feet, for pop and control, with gentle reverse camber outside the inserts for a buttery surfy feel. Control is further enhanced in the Machete GT with the addition of carbon stringers in the nose and tail, for guaranteed pop, and a new combination of Urethane and carbon in the sidewalls for instant response. The Machete GT is a snowboard for intermediate level riders and above who treat the mountain as others treat the park, an aggressive twin shaped shred stick for all-mountain freestyle domination.

Ride Machete Snowboard 161 Wide - 2013
The Ride Machete, cutting out stress has never been so easy! The Ride Machete is one of those snowboards that you strap yourself into and the mountain becomes your own personal park, what look like piste bashers derelict mounds of snow and fallen trees to most become kickers and rails while gentle undulations on piste become mighty rollers to get loose with. The Machete is a mid flex, twin tipped snowboard which is built around Ride’s Lowrize rocker profile that is flat though the middle section of the board with rocker sections just outside the binding inserts. This combination gives the rider a solid platform for landing tricks and carving as well as making buttering easier and floating in the deeps less of a back leg ache. The Machete also comes equipped with carbon stringers in the nose and tail augmented by yet more carbon, in the form of pop rods, which give the board mega snap while stiffening up the nose and tail for backseat landings. This is an accessible snowboard that can be ridden by beginner riders upwards who are looking for a board that is fun in any terrain and just wants to play, it will sit in the corner of your room begging you to take it to the snow!

Ride Machete Snowboard 160 - 2012

This is an accessible snowboard that can be ridden by beginner riders upwards who are looking for a board that is fun in any terrain and just wants to play, it will sit in the corner of your room begging you to take it to the snow!

Ride Machete Snowboard 152 - 2012
The Machete from Ride is not some horror flick, it won't give you nightmares; it just likes to slash around wherever you take it, making it a super fun board to ride. The Machete comes with Ride's Lowrize profile, flat between the bindings with a gentle rocker section outside of the binding inserts, which gives the board its playful feel. The board gets its snap from the Pop Rods and Carbon Array 3 stringers all tempered with the smoothness you get from the Slimewalls 85A, giving the board a fluid feel with plenty of pop when you need it. Ride has made the Machete as a freestyle board but it has a nice mellow flex and easy to ride shape that will bring a smile to your face wherever you choose to take it. The Machete is for riders who bounce around from place to place always looking for the next lip, hip or roller to get fresh with.

Ride Kink Snowboard 159 Wide - 2012

Armed with Ride's Slimewalls 90A, Carbon Array 3 and Fusion 4000 sintered base the Antic is most at home ripping up the pow and the corduroy but with its friendly flex pattern and Thin Con construction it can be taken to the park for lap after lap of bouncy fun if the mood takes you. The Antic was one of our best selling boards in 2010/11 and looks set to carry on that trend this year.

Ride Kink Snowboard 155 - 2012

Ride Highlife Snowboard 158 - 2012
Back in the days when I was taking my first turns on a snowboard there were snowboards and then there were Ride snowboards. Ride snowboards were know for progressive technology, sick graphics but most of all for their uncompromising freeride and freestyle boards which were stiffer and gnarlier than anything else at the time. Snowboarding has come a long way since those days and snowboards have become progressively softer and the reverse camber revolution has changed the face of snowboarding forever. What Ride have done with the Highlife UL is taken the premise of their heritage snowboards and married it with the technology of today, the result is a board that is unbelievably responsive, lightening quick edge to edge, with all the power of a traditional camber shape and the advantage of added float with a longer, rockered nose. The Highlife is for snowboarder who hanker after the good ol' days, or anyone who wants to rip around the mountain very quickly!

Ride Kink Snowboard 153 Wide - 2013

It's like collecting art, but for riding on not for your walls, I guess anyway?! The board itself comes with Ride's all new Hybrid Twin shape, a twin cambered profile with a small rocker section at the tip and tail, designed to give maximum amplitude and control. The DH2 Limited series comes with pretty much all the tech available from the Ride stables, all designed to get the board higher in the air for longer and then safely back down again, if you land on the board anyway. The DH2 is for people who want to get really high but have no interest in pharmaceuticals.

Ride Wild Life Snowboard 164 - 2013
Now, we have seen our fair share of Wild Life over the years, many snowboard trips have ended with the consensus that we should all roam savage and free after spending a week foraging for food, scent marking our territory, making dens and attracting the attention of potential partners by rutting late into the night. The Ride Wild Life then seems to already have a place in snowboarding consciousness without being more than a few months old! New for 2013 the Wild Life is a directional snowboard that features Ride’s All Mountain Rocker profile, flat through the middle section of the board with a small rocker in the tail and a more pronounced rise in the nose, which has been designed to perform intuitively whether riding the pistes, the slack country or all the way into the deeps of the back country. Ride have stiffened up the Wild Life with both carbon stringers in the nose and tail and linear carbon in the core to provide snap, response and control when hauling it while the urethane Slimewalls provide dampening when conditions are crusty. While the Wild Life is at the stiffer end of the flex spectrum it is still an accessible snowboard and can be ridden by free riders of all abilities that love riding laps from peak to base and for whom the exhilaration of speed is the reason they ride!

Ride Wild Life Snowboard 159 Wide - 2013
Now, we have seen our fair share of Wild Life over the years, many snowboard trips have ended with the consensus that we should all roam savage and free after spending a week foraging for food, scent marking our territory, making dens and attracting the attention of potential partners by rutting late into the night. The Ride Wild Life then seems to already have a place in snowboarding consciousness without being more than a few months old!
