True competitors are always looking for a performance advantage—a relentless pursuit of equipment that is lighter, stiffer & stronger. To create the best drivetrain possible, we started with a completely reengineered crankset design. Our all-new XX1 Eagle crankset is the lightest, stiffest & strongest on the market. A special hollow internal architecture, combined with our proprietary CARBON TUNED lay-up, allows us to build a lightweight & ultra-energy-efficient crankset perfectly suited for the high-wattage output & smooth style of cross country riding & racing. Teamed up with a new Eagle direct mount chainring, & as an integral part of the Eagle drivetrain, the new XX1 Eagle crankset puts more focused power into every ride. Besides serious weight savings, this bottom bracket means narrow Q-factor, more ankle clearance, greater bearing durability & stronger crank construction. Strength & stiffness where you need it, lightweight like you want it. Proprietary SRAM carbon lay-up design increases thickness & stiffness at critical stress areas. Tapered, terraced, carbon architecture ensures the greatest weight savings without compromising strength. GXP’s Gutter Seal design cuts friction & weight—improving both feel & performance A variant of the external GXPbottom bracket, Press Fit cuts weight by up to 40 grams & eases installation by allowing you to press the bearing cups into the frame instead of threading them. It requires no change to the crank spindle length & diameter. This is a new design led by SRAM. It’s all the best from BB30 & Press-Fit bottom brackets in one captivating package. This bottom bracket is designed for 30mm spindle cranksets. The key difference with Press Fit 30 is how the bearings are fitted into the frame. Bearings are housed in nylon cups which will be pressed into the frames bottom bracket shell. Press Fit 30 will feature an integrated seal, pre-assembled into the cups, to further prolong bearing life.
