Fi-Clor Alkalinity Increaser 5kg

CORRECTS LOW TOTAL ALKALINITY. Fi-Clor Alkalinity Increaser (Bicarbonate) is for raising the total alkalinity level in swimming pool water. Alkalinity is a measure of the amount of alkali (or in chemical terms, bicarbonates and carbonates) in the water. If the alkalinity is too low, any chemicals added to the pool will directly affect the pH, causing rapid fluctuations in pH readings. Alkalinity at the correct level will help protect, or 'buffer' the pH. Instructions > Take an alkalinity reading on your test kit. You will need to raise the total alkalinity if the reading is below 100mg/l (ppm) for pools sanitised with stabilised chlorines or bromine, or below 80mg/l (ppm) for pools sanitised with Fi-Clor Superfast or Supercapsules. > Pre-dissolve the Fi-Clor Alkalinity Increaser in
pool water using a suitable container. In order to avoid concentrated solutions, only dissolve a maximum of 500g of the product in 10 litres of water at a time, adding product to water, never water to product. Dose no more than a total of 1.5kg in a day. > With the circulation system running, distribute evenly around the pool, avoiding the skimmers. > Continue filtration and re-test after 24 hours. If the total alkalinity is still low, repeat the dose.
