With this experience you will get the opportunity to paddle both an open canoe & a kayak across the water. There is such a thrill in powering yourself along with a paddle in your hands. The kayaks & canoes used are very stable & designed for tuition so you are unlikely to fall out unless you try very hard! From this full day session you will be able to take on this sport in a more indepth way & if you really enjoy it, help you to progress on to BCU star awards. Following registration you will meet your instructor who will fit you with your equipment, including buoyancy aid, boat & paddle (spray decks are available for experienced paddlers). There will then be a full safety briefing & explanation in the use of the equipment before going onto the water. Then it is time to take to the water. This course is aimed at the beginner to those with some understanding of digital photography. Even if you are using some of the manual controls on your camera but don't fully understand the practicality of the manual controls
- this course will suit you. The day will include several workshops in aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance & exposure control. It will also include the rules of compensation & how you can apply compensation creatively to drastically improve your photography. You’ll learn how to create depths of field & how to produce a sense of movement to capture the action. These workshops are designed for you to get the most out of your camera both practically & creatively. By spending the day with professional instructors, they will help you develop your practical & creative skills. You won't be overloaded with jargon or rules as there are no rules to photography! By the end of the workshop you are guaranteed to feel confident & imaginative enough to produce amazing photographs. To make the most of your experience, the instructors will be at hand to answer any questions you may have weeks or even months after your course. The day starts at 9.30am & finishes around 4.30pm
- we always hang around later than that to answer specific questions or to run through additional topics, depending on how hungry you are for more knowledge! We don’t like too much theory & whilst you will learn the important lessons of how the camera works, we’ll also get you out there using your camera & taking photographs.
