Flash Mode: The hot shoe has a built in contact for use in flash mode. Power up & set to full power, press the power off key & the red light remains on. When you fire your shutter this video light then acts like a flashgun in only firing when needed. This flash-mode will conserve batteries & be VERY useful in difficult lighting situations. As the light doesn't have to be left on it will be less disturbing for some subjects too. This is a really smart feature that isn't found on any other video lights!!

Ideal for DSLR, video/camcorder use but equally at home giving additional modelling or feature lighting on digital still photography. Mount straight onto the hotshoe of the camera or alongside your camera using the bracket provided or even use it h&-held (wire-free!) to reduce shadows or to add a key or highlight etc. Offering a useful 10 levels of brightness via a simple + &
- button will allow you to achieve the correct level of light very quickly too.

Our favourite additional feature is that thanks to rapid change, magnetic diffuser covers you can choose whether you would like the standard bright white light using the clear diffuser OR switch out to a 'warm up' light from the orange diffuser (great for portraiture) which is used as the rear battery compartment. Brilliantly simple!

The unit can be powered with 4 x AA size batteries
