You need to register your gift before the ‘register byÂ’ date on your gift registration booklet. We recommend that you register your gift as soon as possible. How long does my adoption last? Your adoption lasts for 12 months from the date of registration. Can I visit the elephants? This gift enables you to adopt an elephant in association with Action for the Wild, Colchester ZooÂ’s animal conservation charity. The elephant conservation work is carried out in Africa & visiting is not possible. However the elephants at Colchester Zoo are treated as ambassadors Â- to inform visitors about the charity & to help their wild African cousins. By registering this gift you will receive one free ticket to Colchester Zoo. So register now, wait for your free ticket & then visit the elephants at Colchester Zoo. How long does it take for me to receive my certificate, photograph, free ticket & discount voucher? These will be dispatched within 28 days from the date of registration. Occasionally, factors outside of Gift RepublicÂ’s control may affect delivery times. How do I use my discount voucher? Once you have registered your gift, you will also receive a discount voucher entitling you to 5% off the cost of a Behind the Scenes Experience at Colchester Zoo. The discount applies to Experiences costing £95 or more. The voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of registration. Further details will be sent to you once you have registered this gift. If for any reason a project is unavailable, the charity reserves the right to allocate the donation wherever they feel the need is greatest.
