Directed by Park Jong Won ( Rainbow Trout), Eternal Empire is set in the late 18th century during the reign of King Jeongjo who spearheaded the renaissance of the Joseon dynasty. Legendary actor Ahn Sun Ki stars as King Jeongjo in this historical suspense revolving around the struggle between the royal party striving to centralize rule under the king, & the old guard conspiring to keep power with the ministry. A thrilling mystery & political struggle unfold when an official arranging historical records of the former king is found dead in the royal library. Eternal Empire co-stars Cho Jae Hyun ( Bad Guy), Kim Hye Su ( Tazza: The High Rollers), Kim Myung Kon ( Taebak Mountains), Choi Jong Won, & Kim Hee Ra.
