Now one of Seouls ritziest neighborhoods, Gangnam was still an undeveloped area on the cusp of big changes & big money in the early 70s. During these volatile l&-grabbing times, two close friends take divergent paths into rival gangs & become embroiled in the violent web of corruption & speculation.

Childhood friends Jong Dae (Lee Min Ho) & Yong Ki (Kim Rae Won) grew up together in an orphanage & are as close as brothers. After their shanty home is destroyed, the two get involved in a political skirmish for pay, & get separated in the process. Three years later, Jong Dae is living with former gang leader Gil Soo (Jung Jae Young, Tabloid Truth) & Yong Ki is working for a crime organization with vested interests in the Gangnam real estate market. As the fight over land heats up, the two friends find themselves on opposite sides of the battle.
