Pure cast iron teapots have been manufactured for centuries using traditional methods. They are designed so heat is evenly distributed & this helps extract the flavour of the tea & ensure it stays hot for longer. Each teapot comes with a removable stainless steel filter & the interior of the teapot is enamelled for a clean finish. Capacity: 250ml Before using the pot for the first time you must rinse the pot & infuser in boiling water, never use detergents to clean or place in the dishwasher. After use rinse & wipe the inside with a soft sponge & dry with a soft cloth whilst it is still warm " never leave any water in the teapot & dry thoroughly after each use. This cleaning method will allow the coating to remain intact & help protect the iron in the teapot walls from oxidizing. ...

For more than 100 years, IWACHU has been the largest producer of cast iron teapots & kitchenware in Japan. Teapots are made by pouring 1500cc of hot liquid iron into the mould which is then left to cool & harden. They are then released from the mould & are individually smoothed by a sander to remove any rough edges. The inside is then coated before being painted on the outside. Each piece is individually inspected before it is allowed to leave the factory to ensure it is of the highest quality.

This dewy white tea from Anhui Province in China owes its youthful taste to the meticulous process of picking a bud & the youngest two leaves from each tea bush. The result is a beautiful silver-green style of leaf, yielding a crystalline sweetness with smooth notes of cantaloupe melon. To preserve the delicate taste of the young silver buds & downy green leaves, white tea undergoes very little processing. Unlike green teas which are steamed or fired to cut short the oxidation process, the freshly picked leaves are simply left to dry, either under the sun or inside for better control of temperature & humidity. As a result, the leaves experience some light oxidation, highlighting their soft sweetness & muting the greener, grassier flavours you might associate with a green tea. The minimal processing allows the leaves to retain a large proportion of their natural antioxidants. White tea is known to be high in the antioxidant EGCG, reputed to rejuvenate the skin & relax the body. It's ideal if you're feeling a bit worse for wear. ...
