This title features three notecards based on illustrations from the Irelands memorial records 1914-18 (Dublin, 1923). The Memorial records were compiled by the committee of the Irish National War Memorial; they preserve the names of over 49, 000 Irishmen who lost their lives fighting in the Great War. A limited edition of 100 copies was published, one of which is held in the RIA Collections. The illustration in the Memorial records was by Harry Clarke (1889-1931), who, as well as being a world-renowned stained-glass artist, was a highly respected book illustrator.
