The larger thicker stick with weighted ends known as a baton is kept in motion by being knocked between the slimmer pair of 'control sticks'. The baton & control sticks feel slightly 'tacky' to the touch which helps to keep things under control when they make contact in mid-air. The baton also contains hidden LEDs: these can be set to flash through different sequences of colours enhancing the overall effect of the display.
