Rich, structured & complex Rioja with smooth tannins & elegant ripe fruit & a fine dusting of spicy oak. Deep ruby red. Very intense & complex nose, stand out the notes developed during his ageing in barrels (coffee, spices, roasted) aromas of candied fruits & nuts. The palate is very structured, full bodied, sweet tannins & appreciate well integrated into the whole wine. This is an excellent wine with character & personality, complex nose, long in mouth, persistent aftertaste & a high potential for bottle aging. An elegant wine which highlights the hallmarks of its origin (Rioja Alavesa). Made with high quality grapes harvested by hand from our better plots in Rioja Alavesa. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures with a frequent dropping of the juice over the skins in order to maximise extraction. Malolactic Fermentation is carried out in French & American oak barrels, & then, the wine is manually racked to stabilise & get rid of deposits. After the cask ageing, the wine is clarified with white of egg to achieve the silkiness & shiny final colour. Once in bottle, the wine starts attaining its typical elegance.
