It is Christmas. It is time to treat yourself. These six bottles represent the pinnacle of fine wine production, & while they aren't cheap, compared with their qualitative peers, they offer good value. We start with a Champagne made by one of the rising stars in the region, which delivers true complexity & finesse. Then, a true classic: a Premier Cru Chablis from leading producer Charly Nicolle, followed by another white Burgundy, a leading example of Pouilly Fuisse from Sophie Cinier. We have two superb Clarets, both from the sensational 2009 vintage, & made at small, high quality properties: Chantelune in Margaux, & Jean Faure in Saint Emilion. These are truly world class Bordeaux wines, but compared with their peers, they are underpriced. Finally, to finish with, one of the world's great sweet wines: the deliciously complex 15 year old Maury from top producer Mas Amiel.
