About the Author Lisa Slatter has been keen on cake decorating from a very young age. She first trained at Marlow Adult Education progressing on to the Berkshire College of Agriculture & Brooklands College where she gained her City & Guilds qualifications in Design & Sugarcraft. Lisa is also a City & Guilds qualified college tutor & an accredited demonstrator for the British Sugarcraft Guild, in which capacity she travels the country giving demonstrations, talks & workshops to clubs & organisations. At the end of 2008, Lisa opened her own School of Sugarcraft. With over twenty-one years of experience in the cake-making & sugarcraft industry, she brought a wealth of experience & expertise to her courses. She has taught both nationally & internationally & won many awards for her work. Recently, Lisa has been appointed as Deputy Head of School at the Knightsbridge PME School of Sugarcraft in South Harrow, UK. Lisa not only teaches classes here, but is actively involved in product development & training, & the training of prospective PME Diploma tutors both in the UK & internationally. Lisa contributes regularly to the monthly magazine ' Cakes & Sugarcraft', & she & her family live in Buckinghamshire, UK.
