The WayBack has a superlight wood core with an abundance of carbon fiber making this adventure ski one of the lightest on the market. It excels at long approaches and pays increasingly greater dividends the farther one ventures into the mountains. The All-Terrain shovel rocker combined with the shallow, progressive sidecut makes it ultra-predictable in high-alpine conditions, with the added benefit of rocker that also makes trail-breaking virtually effortless.
The touring ski comes of age with the incorporation of Zag RX Rocker technology. This is the ski for freeriders who are always on the lookout for untracked runs, away from the busier slopes. The Ubac is constructed using Paulownia technology which has a vertically laminated full length wood-core. A layer of biaxial glass/carbon fibre hybrid is applied to the top and bottom of the wood-core for greater strength and stability whilst saving weight.
The Manaslu Women's ski, with its revolutionary ski geometry, 23-cm long shovel, and tight dual-radius cut (35/21 cm), is ideal for high-altitude ski descents with highly varied snow conditions. Its light-weight wood-core construction and the use of high-performance laminates create an ideal balance between weight and performance.
For the new Manaslu, the core construction of the Stoke ski has been used, with 3 long bamboo stringers. This guarantees greater boost and a smoother performance. The ski returns quickly to its original position, even at high speed and on uneven terrain. It also has a new aluminum skin tip.
A wide-bodied touring ski equally adept at mellow powder tours and serious ski mountaineering objectives, the Black Diamond Aspect has the chops for nearly any day in the backcountry. The Aspect features a 90 mm waist and a Semi-Rocker tip for easy trailbreaking and powder performance, as well as a traditional shape and aggressive sidecut for quick, slicing turns in technical terrain. A paulownia wood core and carbon fiber reinforcements lend the ski maximum torsional stiffness without any unnecessary weight. Features Deep sidecut, traditional camber and a 90 mm waist for high-performance skiing, from out-of-bounds forays to long-distance backcountry projects Semi-Rocker tip, full camber and flat tail for easy trail breaking and skiing in variable conditions Wider and with a more traditional contact length and touring ski shape than the Current Lightweight paulownia wood core surrounded by Torsion Box construction, plus carbon fiber reinforcements Dual Torsion Bow Technology with two ribs puts power to the edges, plus SkinLock tail tabs Optimal use: 50% soft snow / 50% hard snow
A classic touring ski with a traditional profile and nimble-yet stable performance, the Black Diamond Stigma charges up the skin track and rewards your efforts on the way down. Whether you're farming turns on a mellow powder field or slicing down tight, technical couloirs, the Stigma's 80 mm waist, soft tip flex pattern and Dual Torsion Bow Technology provide solid edge control and torsional stiffness. The lightest Black Diamond ski. Beyond its lightweight-but torsionally stiff-construction, the Guru further reduces weight by maximizing running length with a shorter tip and flat tail. Allowing you to run a shorter overall size, saving weight without sacrificing skiing performance.
Expertly balancing a lightweight, skin track-crushing construction with deep snow performance, the Black Diamond Drift is the ski for those who count both ounces and faceshots. The Drift's versatile 100 mm waist is coupled with a wide, soft-flexing, early-rise tip and a more traditional sidecut shape for easy trailbreaking and maximum confidence when conditions are variable. The ski also features a redesigned Semi-Rocker tail for improved turn release.
