Turning their attention to other iconic locations, they looked to sun-kissed Rueda – an underrated region that should be on every wine lover's radar. Famed for Verdejo – an ancient grape introduced to the area over a thousand years ago – Rueda is the source of expressive, aromatic whites with a reputation for ageability. Now under the talented ownership of second-generation Cristina Forner, Marqués de Cáceres have achieved an international reputation for exceptional Verdejo. Aromatically comparable to Sauvignon Blanc, you can expect bright notes of crunchy apple, ripe peach & grapefruit. Its zesty acidity will complement herby fish dishes or a Greek salad.
