Beautifully exotic in appearance the Lilium Nepalense or Nepal Lily makes a striking addition to any garden producing large pea-green open trumpet-shaped blooms with rich royal violet throats. This rare species of lily is considered to be the most beautiful of all the lilies & is just perfect for exotic gardens cut flower gardens & patio containers. It also makes a fabulous potted plant.

Lilies like well-drained moisture retentive soil with plenty of organic material. They like sun or partial shade & protection from strong winds. Lilies develop roots along the stem & need 8-10cm of soil above the bulb to develop properly. Keep evenly moist.
Feed & water oriental lily bulbs regularly throughout the growing season keeping them moist at all times. Deadhead faded blooms at the base of the flower where they join the stem to prevent the development of seed pods. When cutting for indoor arrangements it is important to leave a third of the stem intact in order to feed the bulb for the following year.
