Plant outdoors 10cm apart & 10cm deep from March onwards after all risk of frost has passed in any well cultivated garden soil with a good supply of organic material & in sunny sites away from strong winds. Plant in groups at 14-day intervals to extend their flowering season; use a light soil mixed with compost.
In autumn allow the foliage to die back naturally before lifting the corms & cleaning them of soil & any remaining stems. Dry them in a well ventilated position for 2 weeks before storing them in a frost-free location for the winter.
