Sow Spinach Palco March to July outdoors in well prepared soil in a sunny spot. Sow thinly in either narrow or broad drills 13mm deep & 30cm apart. Spinach is suitable for in succession sowings throughout the year & can also be sown in September to October under glass. When growing thin seedlings to 5cm apart for 'baby leaves' & 10cm for larger plants keep well watered to avoid bolting (running to seed). Harvest May to September outdoors or November onwards under glass.

Succulent prolific & very hardy this variety of spinach is suitable for autumn & winter crops too. Sow in March to June outdoors or September to October indoors very thinly in ordinary garden soil in drills 3cm deep in rows 30cm apart.

As the seedlings grow gradually thin out to 23cm apart. The thinnings can be trimmed of their roots & cooked.

Water freely through the season & harvest by picking a few leaves snapping them off close to the ground.

    Agapanthus Blue have beautiful sky blue buds perched on firmly upright stems. They will look fabulous in borders window boxes planters & patio containers. Developing freely from their second year they grow into dense established clumps of strap-like dark green foliage.

    Agapanthus are easy to propagate by division. Divide between spring & early summer or in early autumn after plants have finished flowering. Avoid splitting plants too often as this will reduce flowering. Large clumps should only be split every four to six years.
