This variety has extra long stems bearing 5-6 large fragrant blossoms & has a superb colour range. A hardy annual which is ideal for arches trellisis obelisks etc.
Sow October to Janury indoors or March to April outdoors. Overwinter indoor-sown plants in cooler conditions such as a coldframe before planting out in spring when the ground has warmed. Soak seeds overnight in warm water before sowing germinate at 20-30C on the surface of a free draining damp seed compost at 3 seeds per 7.5cm pot. Apply a layer of compost 1cm deep & place in a propagator or seal container in a polythene bag until after germination which takes 10-21 days.
Water freely during dry weather & apply well rotted manure occasionally. Regular removal of spent flowers will encourage further blooms.
