If you're after a performance freestyle focused board that has the ability to handle the whole mountain but which won't break the bank then the Happy Place pretty much needs to be sitting on top of your shopping list. Gigi has moved the goalpost as to what you should expect at this price level & in doing so has created a truly stunning board that will handle anything & everything that the mountain can throw at it. Built around a twin shape it features an all new cam rock profile. This places camber between the feet for increased agility & response with flat spots just outside the feet & rocker at the tip & tail to deliver a catch free ride with increased float & a poppy & responsive feel. Next up is the Ultimate Traction edge profile; this places an extra bump in the sidecut between the feet to give additional edge hold & stability. Internally the Happy Place uses the full wood Snap Crackle Pop core. This combines alternating poplar & beech stringers with spruce blocks in the nose & tail to give a truly poppy ride. Now add the Tri-Ax glass structural layers & carbon reinforcing at the tip & tail & you have a board that truly does punch above its weight. Finally the super fast 6000 grade sintered base finishes off this truly stunning snowboard.
