An ideal ski for the beginner looking for a lightweight ski that is easy to ski on and will allow you to improve your skiing quickly and confidently. We have really expanded our Atomic range of goods this season and it is easy to see why. They offer some great value, high tech goods that perfectly match the conditions that they are designed to cope with. They stand by their core values of Meaningful innovation, this season that includes utilizing the ARC technology across their whole all mountain range, their new HRZN tech for the freeski side and the double deck and new Ramp for racing. Also they offer progressive performance, really pushing the sport forward and expanding the boundaries of what is possible and finally offering style with substance. They know what goes into a ski is the most important thing, but they make sure that their style gurus make this look good for the user when out on the mountain. The atomic nomad series are on one of Atomics’ best sellers and with the addition of ARC technology they have become even more popular. They are perfect for people who ski mostly on piste, but who also like to venture off the side into softer snow. With all mountain flex and step down sidewall 2.0 they take all snow conditions in their stride, While ARC Technology frees the ski to flex naturally for a smooth, natural ride. Atomic’s ARC technology uses only one mounting point in the centre of the ski. Because your entire power is concentrated in that single point – the anchor point – the ski is able to flex easily and naturally, just like a bow. The free-floating deck between the boot and ski supports that natural flex. This makes the ski stay in contact with the ground. The result is perfect traction and smooth natural rides with less effort, whatever the snow conditions. The Blackeye was redesigned last season and offers some amazing all-mountain performance. This ski excels on prepared terrain thanks to the new ARC Technology. The advantage is that the ski remains in contact with the ground at all times whatever the snow conditions, thereby increasing traction and making it easier to control the ski. Plus the Step Down Sidewall 2.0 improves grip on compact snow, while a composite core offers a really nice lightweight feel and softer more forgiving flex. Off-piste the All Mountain Rocker and 81 mm waist width maximize the versatility and manoeuvrability of the Nomad Blackeye. Ski Specification Geometry: 123.5mm/76mm/103.5mm for 164cm length Turn Radius: 13.6 Metres for 164cm length Terrain: All conditions Core Material: Composite Camber/Rocker: All Mountain Rocker (85% camber / 15% tip rocker) Technology: Stepdown Sidewall / ARC Technology Weight: 1.95kg (171cm) per ski Bindings: Atomic XTO 10 Ski Profile Skier Level: For beginners to intermediate skiers Snow Conditions: All Conditions Snow Terrain: On-Piste For on-piste performance for beginner skiers they really excel. This is aimed at the beginner skier who would like something that will allow them to grow and develop quickly.

The Mission is pretty much the benchmark all mountain, resort binding. With over 10 years of product refinement, it remains one of the go to bindings for any shop staff across the globe. Top end design features, at a mid-range price point is a guaranteed winner, but the versatility of the Missions is its ace in the hole. Mid stiff construction, with generous amounts of cushioning and compliance make the Mission a suitable choice in almost any scenario. Only the heaviest, hardest chargers need more. Specification: • Single Component 30% Short Glass/Nylon Composite Baseplate and Heelcups • Single Component Canted Living Hinge Highback • Zero Lean Dial FLAD • Reactstrap • GettaGrip Capstraps • SmootheGlide Buckles • Removable SensoryBED • Lifetime Baseplate Guarantee • Anatomical Left and Right Baseplates • Progressive flex Highbacks Flex 1-10/ soft-hard: 7 Features: Base/Heelcups Single-Component Construction is a trickier design process to achieve the flex/response required from your binding. One piece means no joins, means great strength, and minimal weight. 30% Short Glass/Nylon Composite has a slightly more forgiving flex than some of Burton’s stiffer baseplate/Heelcup materials, making it ideal for all day riding, particularly for lighter/laid back riders. Stiff enough for dropping into couloirs, soft enough for sliding rails. Lifetime Baseplate Guarantee covering manufacturer defects for life. It’s rare to see a Burton baseplate fail, but it’s comforting to know that their quibble free replacement will be on your board before you can say ‘Did you get that on film?’ Anatomical Left and Right Baseplates is a more costly way to design and manufacture a snowboard binding, but your left and right feet are not the same, so why shouldn’t your baseplates match your feet? Straps: ReactStraps are 3D shaped ankle straps, designed to match the contour of any snowboard boot. GettaGrip Capstraps feature 3D shaping for the ultimate fit. They are constructed from ‘Grip Fit’ rubber for excellent retention and can be used as Cap straps or Toe Straps (does anyone still ride like that?). Burton Cap Straps are some of the most universally compatible shapes, and fit perfectly over almost every boot on the market. Highback: Single-Component Construction is a trickier design process to achieve the flex/response required from your binding. One piece means no joins, means great strength, and minimal weight. Canted Highbacks are a more ergonomic shape than traditional ‘straight up’ highbacks. Your legs angle inwards toward your waist when you ride, so canting your highbacks to match this angle seems like an obviously beneficial step. Living Hinge Highbacks separate the forward lean adjustment from the highback rotation, allowing an almost infinite combination of highback setup positions. This design also saves weight over standard highback mounting designs. Zero Forward Lean Highbacks have the ability (but not the limitation) to be set up with no forward lean at all. This is great for jibbing and rail riding, as it gets them well out of the way. You can, of course, still crank them forward for icy all mountain conditions. FLAD Forward lean adjusters allow you t

Lightweight, smooth, easy-going and efficient. The LX82 is incredibly easy to ski yet remains stiff and quick on piste. Kastle is a speciality ski manufacturer from Austria founded in 1924. Although not considered one of the major brands here in the UK if you head across to the Alps you will see a large number of these, and they are increasingly becoming popular by those that have found out Kastle’s well-constructed, stable, agile and incredibly versatile range of skis. One of Kastle’s main technological advantages is their patented hollowtech design system. This has been developed over the last 30yrs and means that the tip of each ski has oval-shaped cut-outs, leaving just a layer of opaque fibreglass this reduces the weight of each ski shovel by up to 15 percent. The decrease in mass helps the ski minimize vibrations and hold an edge more precisely. This coupled with using only the latest and best materials to construct their cores and their timeless clean graphics means that Kastle’s dedication to producing some of the world’s best skis will carry on for another season. The LX range from Kastle utilizes a lighter weight wood core and so is idea for women or slightly lighter or less aggressive male skiers, who want all the benefits that you would get from the Kastle MX range, but without the weight. These skis have been popular for a number of seasons now and have won many awards, mainly thanks to the easy handling and sporty nature of this all mountain ski. Ski Features Hollowtech: This is Kastle’s proprietary Hollowtech technology ensures a smooth ride and consistent edge tracking. Hollowtech is the evolution of a 30-year-old Kastle innovation. The tip of each ski has oval-shaped cut-outs, leaving just a layer of opaque fibreglass. Hollowtech reduces the weight of each ski shovel by up to 15 percent. The decrease in mass helps the ski minimize vibrations and hold an edge more precisely. The 2014/15 Kastle ski line feature more Hollowtech than ever: The investment into new heaving stamping machinery allows a 10% larger and lighter Hollowtech for the MX88 and MX83. Bigger volume Hollowtech create even greater weight savings on the new TX97 and TX107 touring skins. LX: The LX range offers a lightweight feel with uncompromising performance. These skis feel agile, confidence inspiring and are incredibly easy to ski on. Fast Grip shovel and tail: This means that the widest point at the tip and tail of the ski is just further forward than the contact point. This allows easy turn initiation, but as soon as you put them on edge then will take to the turn and initiate the carve. Waist 82 mm: Outstanding handling characteristics especially in variable, steep slope conditions as well as in powder. Ski geometry: The single radius masters varying conditions and difficult terrains. The harmonious sidecut enables a smooth and exceptional ride. Wood core: Silver fir (~0.55 kg/dm³) has been used for the wood core, providing the ski with a very low weight. In order to combine a comfortable longitudinal flex design with high torsional rigidity, the traditional sandwich core concept has been reinforced with a structural element. This wood core, in combination with titanal sheeting, allows perfect harmonization of vibrations and flexing characteristics. the supporting cap from various fibreglass sheets acts like a torsional box, equipping the ski with high torsional rigidity Features: By using a 0.5 mm titanal base and top sheet high stability is achieved for on-piste performance. In combination with the all othe
The Cashew is an uncomprimised backcountry freestyle board. The fact that it is extremely environmentally consciouusly manufactered, has in no way limited what Volkl have managed to achieve with this ride. Packed to the brim with technology and features. SPECIFICATION Construction: Directional Freeride Sidecut, All Mountain/Powder rocker, Convex Powder Base, Wooden Veneer topsheet with partial grip lacquer, Supreme Woodcore, Shock Absorbers, Wooden Sidewalls with TPU dampening, POP 2.0 stringers, Sintered Recycled Base Length: 162cm Running length: 124.0cm Waist width: 26.1cm Sidecut radius: 8.55m (average) Setback: 15mm Flex: 6 FEATURES: Directional Freestyle Sidecut – A great combination of directional sidecut and slight setback enables a rider to lap the park with confidence, and take the same board to the big leagues of backcountry madness. Slightly stiffer in the tail than the nose, these boards float great in the powder, but can also be ridden with the bindings centred on the board for a more freestyle biased ride. As with all Volkl snowboard sidecuts, multiple radii are blended together to produce an extremely controlled turn, allowing slight pressure changes to alter your turn radius, without having to drastically alter body position. The Powder Rocker profile, has a flat section of board extending from just behind the rear binding inserts, to the middle of the front binding inserts. Up front there is a fairly long, and high rockered section leading into nose, and out back there is a shorter, less tall rockered section leading into the tail to drop the back end into the soft snow. Front end lift is effortless. The base of the board lifts up as it approaches the edges, this Convex Powder Base makes catching an edge a thing of the past, and provides even greater float in the powder, as the resistance is much higher at the edges of the board. Wooden Veneer topsheet – Rather than extruding the graphics into the back of the topsheet material, the graphical design is printed directly onto the wooden topsheet of the board, eliminating the need for the heavy topsheet entirely. Great weight saving for the board, and great resource saving for the planet. Sections of the topsheet lacquer are impregnated with coarse, or fine grains, this Partial Grip Lacquer adds both grip, and a very visually stimulating graphical design. Supreme Woodcore is made of tip to tail Aspen-Falcatta blend, with four strips of Falcatta integrated into the Aspen core. This results in a lightweight, strong and flexible core material. Shock Absorbers are single sheets of hardwood laid into the core where the board thickness tapers down at the tip and tail. Wooden Sidewalls with TPU Dampening – Several different plys of Armor wood above a layer of shock absorbing thermal poly urethane. This not only looks stunning, but achieve a more consistent flex pattern than ABS sidewalls
