Elijah Craig is made by the Heaven Hill Distillery in Bardstown Kentucky; Elijah Craig was named in honour of Reverend Elijah Craig a Baptist preacher who is credited with inventing ‘true Kentucky Bourbon'. Due to the length of time that the 23 year old expression stays in the barrels they have to be kept on the mid floors of Heaven Hill's Rickhouses where the temperature doesn't fluctuate, this helps to protect the whiskey. The barrels that are aged for 23 years are hand picked by Master Distillers Parker & Craig Beam. Few other Bourbons are aged this carefully or for this long. Nose: Woody, raisins, fruit, spice Taste: Strong, persistent, caramel, oak, spice
