With the innovative "hub monitor" concept, the Samsung display combines a modern LED display with a notebook docking station, paving the way to greater convenience and user-friendliness for owners of mobile computers. The SyncMaster C27A550U LED transfers data between the Note PC and the display via a cabled USB connection. Thanks to the downward compatibility of USB 3.0 to 2.0, a USB-3.0 connection is not absolutely necessary for the notebook, but it does have its advantages; for example faster data transfer rates.
The Microsoft® Windows® XP and 7 operating systems are currently supported. The docking station integrated into the base of the display offers all the important connections: RJ-45 (Ethernet), audio output (3.5 mm jack), a 2-port USB 2.0 hub and a 2-port USB 3.0 hub. These allow peripheral devices such as printers, external storage devices, input devices and so on to be connected.
