The STORY Station is the premium desktop series by Samsung. It possesses a Hi Speed-USB interface & stored up to 1 TB.
The finish is high-quality: the casing is made from noble brushed aluminium. Thereby, the external hard-disk remains calm & cool even during operation. A new ventilation concept achieves an optimised, heat-conducting air circulation.
The power consumption was reduced in the case of STORY Station from thje normal 2.5 watt to 0.09 watt in the low-standby mode. This low-standby power mode helps to reduce the indirect CO2-emissions. In order to prevent further the unnecessary power consumption, the STORY Station Plus series automatically goes in the standby mode after five minutes of inactivity.
Along with energy efficiency special emphasis was also placed on the noise emissions; in this way, this series works especially noiselessly. A very good factor with the versatile usage possibilities of external hard disks

Other features for a comfortable & safe working with the STORY Station Plus are the automatic backup function with Safety Key TM, a Secret Zone TM, a storage capacity display & the power-saving sleep mode. Samsung's Secret Zone TM hides files & folders through software-based AES 128-bit or AES 256-bit encryptions or optionally according to the Blowfish-448 method. Safety Key TM sees to it that personal data are protected by a password. The Samsung auto-backup function enables the user to do standard backups in real time or at defined points of time/intervals.
