Disprol Paracetamol Suspension A child's temperature can vary between 36C & 37C. A mild rise is about 37.8C & is common just before a tooth erupts. If your baby has a temperature of more than 37.8C for more than a day you should contact your doctor or health visitor. If your baby has a slight fever you can use a paracetamol suspension, such as Disprol. Disprol Paracetamol Suspension is specially formulated for babies of three months & over to bring down the temperature of a feverish child & also relieve pain. Always read the label. Ingredients The active ingredient is Paracetamol (120mg/5ml). The other ingredients are Hydrogenated Glucose Syrup, Glycerol, Carbomer, Sodium Hydroxide, Methyl Hydroxybenzoate, Propyl Hydroxybenzoate, Citric Acid, Saccharin Sodium (sweetener), Banana Flavour, Riboflavine Sodium Phosphate (colour) & Water. Directions Children: not to be given under 3 months or longer than 3 days except on medical advice. For babies who develop fever following vaccination at 2 months, a 2.5ml dose is suitable. 3-12 months: 2.5-5ml 4-6 hourly. Maximum 20ml in 24 hours. 1-6 years: 5-10ml 4-6 hourly. Maximum 40ml in 24 hours. 6-12 years: 10-20ml 4-6 hourly. Maximum 80ml in 24 hours.
