Enjoy a guided tour of a working English vineyard. Situated in a prime position in South East Engl&, the Carr Taylor estate was founded in 1971 by David & Linda Carr Taylor. Alexander Carr Taylor is now the second-generation winemaker. The area under vine cultivation is thirty-seven acres, with varieties of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Bacchus, Kerner, Schonburger & many other varieties providing a magical blend of old & new vines. The vineyard surrounds the old family Victorian Manor House, with its modern winery & visitor centre in the picturesque heart of the Sussex countryside. You will be taken on a tour around the vineyard where your guide will talk you through the method of growing vines. Youll then move on to the winery where you will learn more about the wine-making process itself. You can both explore the wines first hand as you enter the tasting room where you will receive a tutored tasting of five wines. To finish, you can browse the shop & perhaps buy some of the wines you have tasted as a memento of your day.
