Grouped with other recruits you will take turns in testing your tank driving & tank commanding skills in this dramatic & heavy-duty experience. You will negotiate a tricky obstacle course & get to act as tank commander riding out of the hatch directly behind the driver. You will be driving ex-military tanks that have the bullet holes as proof! Feel like a soldier in this adrenaline fuelled experience. To begin you will be kitted out in army gear & meet with your instructor who will talk you through a quick safety briefing. Then you & the rest of your team will travel in the tanks hull where there are seats but not much else! You will take it in turns to drive the tank, & when youre not driving you could be sitting where the tanks crew or commander would normally sit. Take a step back to the days of wartime Britain with this tank driving gift experience, where you’ll take the controls of this 15 tonne military vehicle for 2 thrilling laps around a former WWII bombing range. It’s a perfect introduction to the world of tank driving, as well as experiencing a spot of history. You’ll be in a tank with 2 others, taking it in turns to drive around the track. When it’s time for you to put your pedal to the metal, you’ll start driving with the hatch open, but not long after the hatch will be closed. You’ll only have the periscope to look through, giving you an insight into what life is really like on the battle field. This is your chance to turn dreams into reality as you take a real tank out for a spin with this awesome tank driving experience in Leicestershire. On arrival you will be kitted out in your tank suit & given a helmet, it's then off to the tank track where you will be introduced to your fifteen turreted FV432 tank! Following a safety briefing & a short background history of the FV432, it’ll be time to get going! As part of a crew out of three people, you will each take it in turns to drive. It’s then over to you, you’ll be instructed as to how the controls of the FV432 work & given a headset to wear under your helmet. For your first lap the drivers hatch will be left open so that you can become accustomed to the track & the controls. You’ll be navigating a 17 tonne FV432 armoured personnel carrier with specially modified cannons, able to fire 40mm paint rounds. As you engage in some paint-splattering combat on this historical battleground, it’ll be easy to imagine the atmosphere of a real life tank battle, but the only difference is that you’ll be using paint balls as your ammo instead! Whether a pro-paintball soldier, talented tank-driver or just a complete new-comer to both of these adventurous activities, this experience is guaranteed to get the blood-pumping, along with testing your strategy, accuracy, speed & sheer determination to claim victory over the other team.
