The brush hairs are made from PETA-approved Takelon bristles. The benefit to using Takelon is that it cannot hold bacteria. If you use real hair brushes & you dont wash them after use, you will be susceptible to cross contamination & breakouts. You will not have this issue if you use Takelon.
