A stunning natural jet black gravel it is perfect if you want a coloured substrate in your aquarium but don´t want to use gravel which has been artificially coloured. The individual grains of gravel are rounded so there are no sharp or rough edges where your fish can hurt themselves. This gravel is slightly chalky so it is perfect if you keep fish which prefer harder water. It also helps to maintain correct p H levels if the water in your area is softer than you require. It is not recommended if you need soft low-calcium water unless constant monitoring of the level of water hardness is possible. Instructions Rinse until the water runs clear before adding the gravel to the aquarium. Use a nutrient rich substrate mixture as a base layer to encourage healthy plant growth The waterscape will look more natural & create a feeling of distance if the gravel is higher at the back of the aquarium & slopes gently away towards the front. Coloured & darker gravel will accentuate your aquarium decorations. Amount needed for approx. 4-6 cm layer in a rectangular aquarium
