The Nano Nature range of products from Oliver Knott makes it easy for you to create beautiful, natural looking aquascapes in nano aquariums. This set contains 5 Fiery Red Rocks of different sizes as well as a fine grained Nature Soil substrate which forms the basis of a thriving, beautiful nano landscape. In order to produce an atmospheric scene in your aquarium, it is important to choose a rock which has the right shape & colour for the aquascape you want to create. Each Nano Nature set contains carefully selected rocks with a natural size progression, from small to medium to large. You won't need to purchase any further rocks. Simply add the Nature Soil substrate to your aquarium, position the rocks & add plants of your choice. It's that simple! The Fiery Red Rocks are heavy, natural rocks which have a brilliant, almost glowing red colour. The rocks are shot through with bright white & will give your aquarium a unique & very special atmosphere, especially when combined with glorious green aquatic plants. The Fiery Red Rocks can be positioned to create an Asiatic-looking décor, or used to create a natural effect. They are the perfect accessory if you want to introduce some dramatic colour into your aquascape. The unique shape of each individual rock provides endless possibilities for creative construction – take your inspiration from the striking & elegant natural shapes of this extraordinary natural material. No matter what you decide to construct – bridges, steep cliffs, dark caves or a Japanese “ Iwagumi” layout, your imagination can run wild with these great value sets. Please note: This is a natural product, therefore every article delivered is unique & will differ slightly from the pictures displayed here. The Fiery Red Rock can slightly increase water hardness. It might be necessary to add soft water. Nature Soil substrate is natural product, enriched with essential nutrients for healthy & fast growing plants. It forms the ideal basis for your underwater landscape. Nature Soil substrate is a mix of gravel & substrate fertiliser. It needs no further soil, fertiliser or other additives. Developed by Oliver Knott, an aquascaping specialist, Nature Soil is perfect for beginners & more advanced aquarium owners. It creates a stable environment which is excellent for aquatic plants, helping to keep them to flourish & stay healthy. This substrate forms the ideal basis for a well-kept aquarium where aquatic plants & animals can enjoy healthy surroundings. Please note: The gravel should not be washed before adding it to the aquarium. All Nature Soil substrates contain a natural fertiliser which provides adequate amounts of nutrients for several aquatic plants, however, if wished additional fertiliser can be mixed in with the Nature Soil substrate! Nature Soil has a stabilising effect on the aquarium water & ensures that within a few hours of filling, that the water in your tank has the correct parameters. If your tap water is hard (KH12 / GH 18 & higher): Nature Soil adjusts the water so that is softer than the original fill water. After 1-2 days the aquarium water has adjusted to KH 5-7 & GH 9-12, depending on how hard the original filling water was. It also reduces the p H value to a neutral /slightly acidic level (6.8 – 7.0). If you have soft tap water the substrate also has a balancing effect & will adjust the water to similar values of hard water (this is dependent on the water you use). Do not use Nature Soil if you have burrowing fish (large corydoras, large catfish, etc.) Do not use artificial additives to harden or salt the aquarium water. Do not use gravel suction cleaners to suck Nature Soil out of the aquarium. Nature Soil substrate is best suited to aquariums well stocked with aquatic plants but not with too many fish. If dirt or sediment occurs use a thin tube & manually suction it out of the aquarium. If you need to create specific feeding places for your fish, you could create sandbanks at the front on the aquarium. The advantages of Nano Nature Sets at a glance: Inspiring rocks & stones Amazing natural structure, great for constructing unique landscapes Ideal for aquariums decorated in a natural, Amano style Substrate made from long-lasting granules which do not decompose The substrate absorbs impurities & ensures clear water Great for plants, fish, shrimps & other aquatic creatures which prefer water with slightly acid & soft values Ensures balanced, slightly acidic p H & reduces the total hardness (ideal habitat for many tropical fish & shrimp) Granules have a special for with provides an optimal supply of oxygen to the plant roots Accelerates proliferation of important filter bacteria which promotes biological stability Substrate can be used as a filter media in the external or bottom filter Rock sizes in this collection vary from 3cm diameter to 14cm diameter This product can be delivered to all of the UK. ...
