The water flow is freely adjustable & the receiving ramp over which the water flows prevents loud splashing & spraying of water. The Drinkwell Premium replacement filter (high capacity filter) is divided into 6 parts (chambers) to ensure equally distributed use of the active carbon filter. This allows all the water flowing through to be equally filtered to keep it fresh & clean.
