Cleaning the water fountain: The water fountain should be cleaned once a week using a soft sponge & a mild soap. Rinse well to avoid leaving traces of the soap behind. Remove the filter & rinse well. The filter should not be cleaned with soap. If the filter contains any dirt or other foreign substances, it should be replaced. (Replacement filters are sold separately.) The filter should be replaced every three weeks or as soon as you see signs of foreign substance saturation (dirt, bits of old food, hairs, etc). Filters may need to be changed on a more regular basis if the filter depending on the environment, water quality or if it is serving several animals. Please see the enclosed instruction manual. Cleaning the Pump: Your pump should be cleaned every 4 weeks minimum. Please see the enclosed instruction manual. What’s this? Important information when selecting a replacement pump for your Catit water fountain: Before ordering a replacement pump, please check the model of your water fountain to see whether the pump you are replacing is equipped with an electrical mains plug or a USB (Universal Serial Bus) adapter. Older versions have pumps which are equipped with an electrical mains plug. The current fountain has a pump which is equipped with a USB (Universal Serial Bus) adapter. Please make sure that you choose the replacement pump with the appropriate power connection to ensure that the replacement pump is compatible with your Catit water fountain.
