Amber is a preventative measure against fleas & ticks, but it is not a treatment against a severe infestation. Change the Amber Collar annually or twice a season to provide the best protection. Replace the collar when the stones are completely polished to maintain the effect of the Amber Collar. Note: The amber stones are individually knotted on the thread, so the collar can stretch slightly. Since untreated natural stones are more brittle than treated amber, individual stones may break off. This does not reflect the poor quality of the product, rather it guarantees the stone’s authenticity. Should any stones break off the collar it will not affect its effectiveness.
