Deranged director Park Jung Woo opens the Pandoras box of government impotence in a nuclear-themed disaster blockbuster that reminds of the 2011 deadly earthquake disaster in Fukushima, Japan. Park levies severe criticism of the Korean governments nuclear energy policy through the tragic story of a nuclear plant worker played by Kim Nam Gil ( The Shameless), who strives to survive in a nuclear catastrophe along with his friends & family, played by Jung Jin Young ( Time Renegades), Kim Young Ae ( Cart), Moon Jung Hee ( Cart), child star Bae Gang Yoo & Kim Joo Hyun ( Modern Farmer). Lee Kyung Young ( Inside Men) co-stars as a corrupt Prime Minister & Kim Myung Min ( Proof of Innocence) as an incompetent President.
Jae Hyuks (Kim Nam Gil) father & elder brother worked in a nuclear plant & eventually died of radiation. Despite bitter opposition from his mother (Kim Young Ae) & girlfriend (Kim Joo Hyun), Jae Hyuk is forced to work in the station as well. One day, a massive explosion occurs after an earthquake. Since the government doesnt have a contingency plan to save the victims, Jae Hyuk & his co-workers decide to return to the power station to prevent another explosion.
