This 1974 Taiwan romance drama was one of the earliest films the then teenager Brigitte Lin starred in. Revered musician & filmmaker Liu Jia Chang directed, scripted, & scored the film, & the theme song he composed is still considered a classic. It was originally sung by Jenny Tseng (who also has a cameo appearance in the film), but due to a contract dispute, was released on record by Tracy Huang; the song was subsequently covered by many divas including Teresa Teng.

In this Chinese version of Roman Holiday, an American tanker tycoon & his family has a short stay in Taiwan on their way to the engagement ceremony between his daughter Laura (Kang Jia Zhen) & a Thai prince. There, the unhappy Laura runs away, meets a rookie reporter Tung (Gu Ming Lun), & falls in love with him. Playing Tungs sister who befriends Laura, Brigitte Lin captured the audience with her unparalleled beauty & rode on this success to attain superstardom.
