Directed by Tsukikawa Sho ( The 100th Love with You), the curiously titled Let Me Eat Your Pancreas is based on Sumino Yorus best-selling novel about love & friendship that extend across time. The moving blockbuster stars Oguri Shun ( Gintama) as the protagonist in the present day, while Dish// member Kitamura Takumi ( Sing My Life) plays his younger self during his high school days. Back then, he had a classmate, Yamauchi Sakura (Hamabe Minami), whose words inspired him to become a teacher at their alma mater 12 years later. While talking to a student, he thinks back to the few months he spent with Sakura. They grew close after he came upon her diary & learned she was suffering from a pancreatic disease. Over a decade since her death, Sakura continues to live on in his memories & the memories of her best friend Kyoko (Kitagawa Keiko) as they finally come to realize the thoughts she left behind for them.
