Two absentee fathers learn what it means to be a good parent in TVBs meaningful 2016 family comedy Daddy Dearest. Johnson Lee plays real-estate agent Keung who would rather put in extra hours at work than spare some attention to his son Nam, who spends more time with his stepdad-to-be than his actual dad. The growing gap between father & son rises to the surface when Keungs ex-wife goes on her honeymoon & leaves Nam in Keungs inadequate care. Due to work, Keung places Nam in a learning center run by Ophelia (Mandy Wong). When his license gets suspended, Keung suddenly has a six-month window to help Ophelia turn around her struggling business; in exchange, she will teach him about proper parenting.

Jason Chan, on the other h&, plays architect Marius who feels increasingly concerned about how much time hes spending away from his family. Due to constant long business trips, he has already missed out on any many key events in his childrens lives, & his firm wants even more time from him. Weighing his priorities, Marius decides to take a break from work & spend the next six months focused on family & finding the right elementary school for his son.
