Disabled young woman Jiang Meng (Mini Yang) heads to the city to earn money to support her elderly foster mother. At the hospital where she works as a cleaner, she encounters a baby girl with the same life-threatening congenital defect as her, & feels an instant connection. Faced with the prospect of multiple operations, the babys father (Guo Jingfei) chooses to give up treatment. When Meng discovers the fathers decision, she goes to increasing lengths to find & save the baby girl. In the process, her own difficult past comes to light.
