Product Description

The much-talked-about 2015 HKTV series The Menu leaps to the silver screen with a feature film sequel that continues the trials & tribulations of a group of intrepid Hong Kong journalists. Director Ben Fong & stars Gregory Wong, Kate Yeung & Catherine Chau return to the battleground of Smart Post for this tense & timely news thriller about journalistic, judicial & government accountability. Veteran Ng Man Tat joins The Menu to play a grieving father who takes matters into his own hands to seek justice for his daughter.

Following the events of the TV drama, Fong Ying (Catherine Chau) has been promoted to interim chief editor & now has to deal with pressure from above to attract more online views & to beat out an unscrupulous media rival. Meanwhile, at a local TV station, Tam (Ng Man Tat) sets off a bomb, takes the TV crew & talk show guest hostage, & demands a meeting with the Chief Executive. Photographer Mallory (Kate Yeung) & headstrong reporter Fai (Gregory Wong) rush to the scene to jostle for coverage. Fai realizes that Tam is the father of a murder victim whose case fell by the wayside because of media apathy & double jeopardy limitation.
