Hashimoto Ai ( Amachan, Parasyte) stars as Ichiko, a girl who returns to her village in northeast Japan. Without the convenience of supermarket near her rural home, Ichiko learns to grow her own food & become self-sufficient through the seasons. In Summer, Ichiko grows tomatoes on her field to make pasta & barley to make rice wine. In Autumn, she uses walnuts from the mountains to make rice & chestnuts for a stew. A film for foodies everywhere, Little Forest will make you appreciate & treasure the food that nature gives us.
