Known for the romantic classics My Sassy Girl & Classic, Korean director Kwak Jae Yong returns to his pet genre in Colors of Wind, his second Japanese film after Cyborg She. Furukawa Yuki ( My Little Monster) & Fujii Takemi ( Lesson of the Evil) both take on dual roles in the pensive melodrama set in the beautiful snowscape of Hokkaido.
After suddenly losing his girlfriend Yuri (Fujii Takemi), Tokyo youth Ryo (Furukawa Yuki) sinks into a period of gloom, but he finally resolves to get himself back together & become a magician. Before her disappearance, Yuri said that she had a prettier & happier doppelganger in Hokkaido, so Ryo decides to go there. On his journey, he meets Aya who looks exactly like his late girlfriend. Aya mistakes Ryo for Ryu, her magician boyfriend who disappeared a few years ago during a magic trick.
