Matsu Takako, Mitsushima Hikari, Matsuda Ryhei & Takahashi Issei form the dramas titular quartet, four lonely classical musicians who find solace in each other, but their music & friendship are put to the test when checkered pasts begin to catch up.

Struggling classical musicians Maki (Matsu Takako), Suzume (Mitsushima Hikari), Tsukasa (Matsuda Ryuhei) & Yutaka (Takahashi Issei) step out of adjoining rooms at a karaoke box at the same time, all holding their instruments. The four connect over their fateful meeting & decide to form a quartet. Unemployed drifters Suzume & Yutaka, housewife Maki & Tsukasa, who comes from a famed family of classical musicians, all love performing, but they just arent quite good enough to play professionally. To dedicate themselves to their quartet, they move into Tsukasas outskirts home together, & build a close friendship that warms their lives. However, each of them is keeping secrets from each other, & it turns out that their meeting was not so coincidental after all.
