Product Description

Casshern director Kiriya Kazuaki returns with the highly anticipated Goemon, a full-blown period action epic that matches the visionary ambition & aesthetic of his first film. Produced by J-horror giant Ichise Takashige, Goemon brings together a score of familiar stars & even more familiar characters for a grand old adventure in feudal Japan. Eguchi Yosuke ( Children of the Dark) leads the pack as eponymous folk hero Ishikawa Goemon, the Japanese answer to Robin Hood, along with a star-studded cast
- Osawa Takao, Hirosue Ryoko, Kaname Jun, Okuda Eiji, Ibu Masato, Terajima Susumu, Gori, Tamayama Tetsuji, & Sato Takeru to name a few
- essaying various historical & fictional figures. Kiriya Kazuaki makes everything larger than life with fast-speed action, uncanny costumes & set design, & the eye-boggling visuals & special effects that made Casshern & now Goemon such a spectacular cinematic experience.

Warlord Toyotomi Hideyoshi (Okuda Eiji) rises to power in the late 16th century after the assassination of his lord Oda Nobunaga. In these chaotic times, chivalrous bandit Goemon (Eguchi Yosuke) rises as a hero among commoners, stealing from the rich & giving to the poor. In one of his many escapades, he steals a box from a merchant, & passes it off to a street urchin (Fukasawa Arashi). But this turns out to be no ordinary box as warlord Toyotomis right-hand man Ishida (Kaname Jun) soon sends ninja & childhood friend Saizo (Osawa Takao) after Goemon. Whats more, a legendary ninja Hattori Hanzo (Terajima Susumu), under the orders of Hideyoshis rival Tokugawa Ieyasu (Ibu Masato), also join the fray, leading to a swordfighting free-for-all for the box & the secret that lies within.
